Requirements

BS or MS in the sciences, typically in the chemical, material, and engineering sciences.
Will consider equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal degree.
Experience may range from fresh graduate to experience in industry.
Very adept at maintaining and improving safety requirements in the laboratory and workspace
Versed in scientific methods and laboratory apparatus.

Responsibilities

Create new technologies and solutions through a technically fundamental and sound approach.
Work with a team to plan and lead execution of development and testing protocols to explore modes of problem solution or routes of new product or technology creation.
Maintain and expand expertise in a set of scientific areas, including physical, chemical, analytical, or formulation principles and methods.
Maintain accurate experimental records.
Demonstrate technical knowledge via presentations (internal and external).
Cultivate global collaboration in the internal and external scientific community.
Serve as a champion of safety practices in the laboratory and office environments.
Very competent with self-directed work.
Construction, maintenance, and safety responsibilities for laboratory workspace and equipment.
Stay up to date within the field of expertise.
Attend trade shows and technical conferences.
Visit customers.
