About The Position

The Research Coordinator I is housed within the Department of Health Services Research, Management and Policy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida. This position supports multiple research programs across the Department and contributes to the successful implementation of grant‑funded research studies. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning, participant engagement, data collection, administrative operations, and data management under the direction of the Department Chair. This position works closely with Principal Investigators, research staff, and community partners to maintain efficient project workflows, ensure accurate documentation, and support timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating participant recruitment and engagement, scheduling, follow-up, and engagement
  • Facilitating data collection activities such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups
  • Managing logistics for project meetings and events, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes and action items
  • Tracking timelines, deliverables, and task completion
  • Assisting with financial and documentation processes, including project invoicing support, expense tracking, and participant payments
  • Assisting with the collection, entry, organization, and quality review of study data in accordance with project protocols
  • Maintaining secure data systems, monitors data completeness and accuracy, and supports routine data cleaning activities
  • Contributing to the preparation of project reports, summaries, and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of materials for presentations, manuscripts, and grant reports as assigned
