About The Position
Talarico for Texas is building a movement to take back power for working people. The campaign is seeking a full-time Research Associate to report directly to the Deputy Research Director and support the research team in producing high-quality self and opposition research
Requirements
- Prior campaign research experience is preferred, but candidates with prior campaign experience or policy research backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Ability to learn quickly, implement feedback, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Willingness to be a team player and support colleagues and the campaign at large
Responsibilities
- Assist with both short- and long-term research projects, including reviewing news clips, public records, campaign finance reports, and legislative materials.
- Conduct vetting and due diligence projects
- Support rapid response research needs
- Conduct on-location research as necessary
- Additional support to the Research department as needed
