The Research Associate – Assay Development will be responsible for immunoassay development including Simple Step® sandwich ELISA, Simple Step® competitive ELISA and multiplex designs. Primary duties include performing laboratory-based experiments such as antibody screening, antibody titration testing, and antibody pair validation. Detailed experimental documentation, database entry and report preparation are required. This position reports to the Assay R&D Scientist and is part of the Assay Development Team located in Eugene, OR and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Screen antibody candidates, perform antibody conjugations, and validate final immunoassay designs. Work closely with R&D scientists and project stakeholders to ensure projects progress to timelines. Collate and analyze the experiment results, update the experimental information and product documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, life science, or other related fields.
  • Experience with basic biochemistry laboratory skills and techniques
  • Ability to travel – 15% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb, any other physical requirements

  • Hands on experience in ELISA or other immunoassay designs
