About The Position

The Research Associate will support ongoing research projects in a Cardiac molecular biology laboratory. The research associate will perform routine and advanced laboratory experiments, maintain accurate records, assist with data analysis, and contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the laboratory. This position will have hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology research.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Prior research experience in an academic or industry laboratory.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, or other omics techniques.
  • Immunohistochemistry or fluorescence microscopy.
  • Animal handling or tissue processing.
  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, R, Python).
  • Interest in pursuing graduate or professional training in biomedical sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform molecular biology experiments, including but not limited to: DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, cloning, and gel electrophoresis.
  • Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA.
  • Cell culture (maintenance, passaging, transfection).
  • Prepare reagents, buffers, and culture media following standard protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records and experimental documentation.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Support animal or human tissue sample processing.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate routine maintenance.
  • Follow laboratory safety, biosafety, and compliance regulations.
  • Assist with ordering supplies, inventory management, and lab organization.
  • Contribute to manuscript preparation, figures, and presentations as needed.
  • Collaborate with lab members and participate in lab meetings.
