Join us as our new Research Associate in Grain and Bioprocessing Application Research Are you ready for a challenging role that lets you use both your scientific grounding and communication skills? Do you have a passion for enzymes and enjoy solving problems that lead to the launch of new products? If so, you could be the research associate we’ve been looking for who can work within the internal process development group, as well as with outside units, to develop enzymatic solutions for our customers. In this role you’ll make an impact by: Joining and working within an agile team of other scientists and associate's in applied research to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and deliver clear and concise results to the key stakeholders or external customers. Providing input to the team about operational topics for continuous improvement. Cross-training and having an interest in learning new skills. Collaborate with colleagues at different regions, and in different functions including marketing, sales and technical services to deliver right solutions to our customers. Being proactive and seeing challenges as opportunities to take responsibility. Taking strong ownership of your assignments, with ability to leverage feedback and colleagues to improve outcomes. Having the agility to handle a task load with some dynamic nature, while working both independently and as a team player.

Requirements

  • A BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field; or an AA degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands on lab skills, experience in basic wet chemistry techniques and in operation and troubleshooting of lab equipment and analytical tools.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple tasks at once within an agile team.
  • Excellent communication skills and good interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DOE and statistical analysis is a plus
