About The Position

The Horticulture and Landscape Architecture department strives to discover, apply, and disseminate knowledge and technology while developing future leaders in the state, the nation, and the world. Through hands-on experiential learning in each of our three majors, Environmental Horticulture, Horticulture, and Landscape Architecture, we encourage human engagement with the landscape and demonstrate our focus to solve problems for people, agriculture, and the environment through scholarship and creativity fostered by teamwork and individual perspectives. Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation's leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all the amenities of a large city. Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities. The department accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individuals who are interested in research positions within the department. The open position may be a temporary, special, or regular Research Associate (Level I or II) assignment and may be for limited duration/time periods. This is an open pool and applications will be considered as positions become available. This pool is active through 12/31/2025.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized experience and/or training.
  • Additional required qualifications, rank and salary determined by specific position to be filled.
  • Level I is an entry-level position for individuals with a bachelor's degree or commensurate specialized experience and/or training and less than 3 years of professional experience.
  • Level II includes individuals with a Research Assistant I + 3 years experience of professional experience, or a Master's degree.
