About The Position

As a Research Associate on the Formulations team, your primary responsibilities include performing test and control article formulation, dose preparation and dispensing. You will receive test and control article materials and maintain chain of custody documentation associated with test and control materials, including inventory. Additionally, maintaining accountability and reconciliation of test materials is required. Responsible for reviewing protocols and formulation instructions and calculations for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • BS in a scientific discipline (Chemistry is preferred) or relevant experience
  • 1+ years experience working in a regulated environment; combination of relevant experience and education considered
  • Basic computer experience including Microsoft Office suite
  • English proficiency required to read and interpret documents such as industry specific documents
  • Solid reasoning abilities

Responsibilities

  • Perform dose preparation, sampling and dispensing of test and control article materials.
  • Ensure appropriate review of data is completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate high quality documentation skills with few common documentation errors.
  • Perform receipt, review and reconciliation of test material in a timely manner.
  • Perform disposition of test materials when necessary.
  • Evaluate as needed test article processes for adherence to GLP regulations.
  • Coordinate and ensure the validation/calibration status of equipment used in the formulation laboratory with equipment group.
  • Address audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review SOP's for laboratory procedures and equipment for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in protocol review meetings, reviews protocols, formulation instructions and calculations for accuracy and correctness.
  • Prepare and ship materials as needed.
  • Cross train to support pharmacy operations, i.e. dispense controlled substances.
  • Participate in reviewing training materials and SOPs.
