About The Position

The Wistar Institute has an opening for a Research Assistant to join the laboratory of Dr. Vincent Wu. The Wu lab will be opening at The Wistar Institute December 2025 in the Vaccine & Immunotherapy Center broadly focusing on using single-cell multiomics to better understand HIV latency and the phenotypes of virally infected cells. The lab uses in vitro cell lines, ex vivo samples from people with HIV, and computational analyses to investigate the HIV reservoir. Furthermore, another facet of the lab includes the development of targeted mRNA-LNP strategies for reversing latency. Responsibilities for the successful candidates will involve designing and conducting experiments, assays with molecular biology and tissue culture, analyzing and communicating data, and overall laboratory management. A Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required. The successful candidates will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, excellent technical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidates with laboratory experience are encouraged to apply. The available positions are commensurable based on experience.
