About The Position

The research assistant will support ongoing community-based research with Kitigan Zibi Anishinaabeg. Duties include: -Literature Review (on the specific residential schools that members of the Algonquin Nation were forced to attend, as well as resistance to Residential Schools among Algonquin Nations) -Drafting of a paper based on the findings of the literature review -Preparation of an Ethics application -Supporting the writing of the CBR grant -Experiences in and knowledge of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis education are required. All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
