About The Position

Purpose: The Research Assistant will conduct research on multi-vessel, riser, and mooring coupled dynamic analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • MS in Ocean Engineering
  • Understanding of the Application of Magnetorheological Damper and Magnetorheological Elastomer Tensioner in Offshore Two-Body Hawser System

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical and numerical research on multi-vessel, riser, and mooring coupled dynamic systems, including modeling, simulation, and interpretation of results.
  • Develop, document, and validate dynamic analysis methodologies, incorporating advanced control and damping technologies relevant to offshore engineering applications.
  • Write and publish research papers, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
