The Department of Genetics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a new research-track faculty member with a strong record in computational biology, genomics, statistical genetics, and genetic epidemiology, involving large human genetic studies. This 12-month full-time position is open at the Assistant Professor rank. The specific research focus of this search is computational genomics, including bulk and single cell transcriptome and epigenome data analyses, multi-omic integration, statistical genetics, and genetic epidemiology. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record in each of these areas and publications in the field. Prior experience in common metabolic disorders (particularly liver disease, obesity and diabetes) is preferred, as well as demonstrated strong collaborative experience, including with molecular and cellular biologists. Prior experience mentoring students in Computational Biology, Genetics, and/or Biostatistics is also preferred.
