Research Assistant- POSTGRADUATE WAYNE LAW DEAN’S OFFICE FELLOW
About The Position
Wayne State University Law School’s Dean’s Office ("Wayne Law") is seeking applications from Class of 2025 graduates of an ABA Counsel-accredited law school for a one calendar year Post-Graduate Research Assistant Fellowship. The fellowship offers an opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain experience working with the Law School Dean’s office. The fellow will work closely with Dean’s office faculty and staff and will report directly to the Senior Director of Administration and Accreditation. The fellow will conduct research and use data driven analytics to recommend and assist with policy development or other initiatives for the law school. The fellow will assist the Senior Director of Administration and Accreditation with reporting requirements in accordance with the ABA. The fellow may also assist with special events and activities.
Requirements
- J.D. from a Counsel-accredited law school is required.
- The applicant must be a Class of 2025 graduate from a Counsel-accredited law school and have an interest in higher education.
- Candidates must be able to engage in research and writing at a high level; exercise independent judgment; responsibly manage multiple projects; communicate effectively orally and in writing; and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Applicants are required to submit (1) a letter of interest describing the candidate’s interest in the fellowship position, (2) a resume, (3) a law school transcript, and (4) the names and contact information of three individuals prepared to provide professional references.
- Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and use data driven analytics to recommend and assist with policy development or other initiatives for the law school.
- Assist the Senior Director of Administration and Accreditation with reporting requirements in accordance with the ABA.
- Assist with special events and activities.
