About The Position

The research assistant will assist with ongoing Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine projects. This position requires BA or BS level degree as well as CITI research training certification. The Research Assistant will need to have access and comfort with electronic medical record (EMR, EPIC), flype, excel and redcap for data collection and analysis. Daily work will include: data collection, data analysis, poster preparation, manuscript preparation, and presentation at internal and/or external research conferences. The research assistant will work with a multi-disciplinary care team including physicians, advanced practice providers, research coordinators, genetic counselors, genetic counseling assistants and other research assistants. They will attend weekly research meetings and case conferences for patient recruitment purposes. The role will be primarily in person to facilitate collaboration with the research and clinical team, however, some work may be completed remotely as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in social, biological, computer or healthcare sciences) required
  • 6 months minimum experience as a research assistant in human subjects’ research (or equivalent position) required.
  • Experience facilitating recruitment and follow-up strategies with clinic personnel and operational problem solving.
  • Skills with Microsoft Office, coding, EPIC, data analysis, copy machines, fax machines, preferred
