Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant, Institute of Environmental Health Sciences at its Detroit campus location. We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our lab in the Institute for Environmental Health Sciences at Wayne State University. The lab is focused on using innovative genome-editing and live-cell imaging techniques to define cellular mechanisms responsible for maintaining genome stability and their roles in human disease. This position is ideal for individuals who are looking to later enter medical school or pursue a PhD degree in biomedical sciences, because it affords the possibility of learning scientific techniques of various kinds, researching questions directly related to human diseases, and the ability to be primary author or co-author on scientific manuscripts. Additionally, mentorship is provided to each member of the lab through individual weekly meetings and by training lab members in various techniques.
