The CLAIR (Clean Air Innovation for Resilience) research project at Carnegie Mellon University is currently advancing the development of an early-stage digital research prototype focused on indoor air quality, materials science, and data-driven decision support. As part of this effort, we are seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support data analysis, software testing, and research documentation activities. This position will support an established research plan and work closely with the project lead and technical team. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in applied research and digital prototyping within a university research environment. In this role, candidates should be capable of working with limited supervision while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. Candidates should be comfortable following research procedures, documenting work carefully, and collaborating with others in a professional research setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain applied research experience in data-driven digital tools while contributing to an active interdisciplinary research project. Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. We are in search of a team member who can effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity.
