About The Position

The Gulli Lab is seeking a motivated and organized Research Assistant . This is a full-time position ideal for a recent graduate seeking deep, hands-on research experience in preparation for graduate (PhD) or medical (MD) school. You will be a core member of the research team, playing a direct role in the experiments that form the two pillars of our lab’s mission.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in science (or related field) or HS/GED.
• 2+ years of related experience
• Two years in research environment
• A strong interest in systems neuroscience and a passion for understanding the brain.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with non-human primates is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in coding (MATLAB, Python, C#, and/or bash scripting) is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the training of non-human primates on cognitive tasks in virtual reality.
• Supporting large-scale electrophysiology experiments and collecting behavioral and neural data.
• Contributing to data organization and analysis.
• General lab support, including assistance with animal care and daily lab operations.
• Performs other related duties.
