About The Position

Under minimal supervision, perform independent research work and collaborate with the research team to support the needs of highly varied projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of three years of research experience.
  • Familiarity with a minimum of two of the following: water quality issues, emerging contaminants, public health, or community engagement.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking, logistical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing scientific literature.
  • Experience with data management (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Experience with drinking water contaminants.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

Responsibilities

  • Support grant activities across a range of water quality related topics:
  • Conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries of findings in different formats.
  • Assist with outreach/engagement products and training.
  • Perform website updates and development.
  • Coordinate and organize research meetings and outreach events; perform other scheduling as needed.
  • Support water and wastewater sample collection as needed.
  • Meet regularly with the research team.
  • Provide regular progress updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
