About The Position

Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for the position of Research Analyst with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. The Research Analyst, reporting to the Director of Institutional Research and Planning within the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, leads data and reporting projects to support institutional decision-making and student success initiatives. Primary responsibilities include coordinating internal and external data requests, conducting analyses, developing reports to monitor at-risk students, and supporting users across the college in accessing, interpreting, and utilizing data.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Research, Analysis, or Computing from an accredited college or university, and four (4) years of closely related experience; or a combination of education and/or experience.

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of accreditation and experience with institutional research are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, relational databases, and experience accessing enterprise data in a data warehouse is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver scheduled reports for key functional areas of the college.
  • Produce and validate recurring internal reports.
  • Provide data and reporting support for Institutional Effectiveness initiatives, including accreditation, assessment, and strategic planning efforts.
  • Conduct analyses to support institutional decision-making, program evaluation, and student success initiatives.
  • Interpret and clearly communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences through tables, visualizations, and narrative summaries.
  • Design, build, and maintain operational and analytical reports and dashboards in Workday and other reporting platforms.
  • Perform ongoing report maintenance, validation, and documentation to ensure reliability following system updates or data changes.
  • Develop, enhance, and support Power BI reports and dashboards for institutional leadership, departments, and public-facing use where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business questions into technical specifications, and implement effective data visualizations.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders, including time-sensitive and high-visibility requests.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent requests while ensuring data accuracy and maintaining documentation.
  • Demonstrate responsiveness by promptly acknowledging requests, initiating work efficiently, and communicating progress and delivery expectations.
  • Maintain detailed process documentation, submission records, and audit trails for compliance and continuity.
  • Ensure accuracy, thoroughness, consistency, and timeliness of all reports through standardized definitions and documented processes.
  • Review and refine reporting processes to improve efficiency, clarity, and usefulness to stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
