About The Position

Digital Cloak is currently seeking a Research Analyst to provide technical expertise for data flow and analysis. Under the supervision of the project Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, the Research Analyst III will develop and refine requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex programs, provide strategic advice toward reaching project goals, and provide technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff as appropriate. The responsibilities of the Research Analyst include insuring that facts and details are correct so that the contract deliverables meet the needs of stakeholders and comply with legislation, policies, standards, and best practices. The Research Analyst may need to interact with a diverse group of individuals across all levels of the government’s General Schedule in support of both our customer and their stakeholders. The Research Analyst will be expected to identify and use appropriate modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in furtherance of program and project goals.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of language/terms/jargon within assigned area of expertise.
  • Understand typical hazards/pitfalls associated with decision making within assigned area of expertise, and mitigate risk associated with those hazards/pitfalls.
  • Must be a creative and innovative critical thinker with keen attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and take direction in a fast-paced, demanding, and often changing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in Operations Research or a related field.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain favorable suitability/fitness adjudication from federal customer.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to identify applicable processes and policies within assigned area of expertise; familiarity with relevant commercial standards and Government policies. Incorporate these processes and policies into the team's procedures.
  • Ability to succinctly determine your project or business unit's needs and explain them to the overarching project team.
  • Significant experience with both waterfall-style and agile program management techniques.
  • Relevant prior experience in Government consulting.
  • May require a Secret Clearance in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate assigned tasks. Define and document procedures and/or standards that will best facilitate the team's successful completion of assigned tasks.
  • Define performance objectives and determine acceptable performance levels efforts in support of assigned tasks.
  • Provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert within assigned area of expertise. Provide guidance to other team members and resolve issues relevant to project deliverables in these areas.
  • Participate in client meetings as directed, remaining proactive and engaged.
  • Contribute to high-quality deliverables with minimal direction.
  • Prepare written reports on topics as assigned within area of expertise. Brief findings and recommendations to project team and/or the Government customer.
  • Scope and provide technical advice on detailed work packages to support program delivery.
