About The Position

AIP is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to assist in conducting social science studies of education and employment in the physical sciences. As the Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in the implementation of research studies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in social science, statistics, physics, or a related field required.
  • Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics required.
  • Experience with coding software for data analysis (R preferred), excellent computer skills, and excellent written communication skills are highly desired.
  • Experience with social science research, including surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews is required.
  • Must be very detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask. Project management skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team conducting quantitative and qualitative research of the scientific enterprise.
  • Perform analysis using statistical software.
  • Perform database management.
  • Manage mailings.
  • Assist with participant interviews/focus groups, transcript editing, and qualitative coding.
  • Assist in questionnaire development, interpretation, and report production.
