About The Position

The student will support a DOE-funded research project focused on congestion management for enhanced distribution system operation. The work will involve modeling and simulation of distribution network constraints, evaluation of TSO-DSO coordination strategies, and development of methods to manage overloads, voltage violations, and power flow congestion. The student will contribute to analysis, algorithm development, and validation studies to improve distribution system reliability and operational flexibility. This aligns with the project’s focus on capacity congestion solutions, and simulation-based validation Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
