About The Position

Waquar has previously worked with us in Summer intern capacity and developed an optimization model that solves for very large-scale electric vehicle charging equipment siting and sizing in the e-commerce delivery context. During his upcoming internship, he will expand upon previous work by developing a simulation and optimization framework where he will optimize charging infrastructure for simulated timeframes and develop an economical analysis model to identify the final charging network based on simulated (and optimized) charging networks. On a parallel effort, he will also develop an optimization model to address challenges in the adoption of autonomous vehicles for personal use cases. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Applicants must be: ‒ Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. ‒ Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or ‒ Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test Must complete a satisfactory background check
