Henry Bloss, currently a master’s student at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), will join the HEP Theory Group as a summer research student to work on theoretical studies of quantum tomography at high-energy colliders. The project will focus on investigating the sensitivity of quantum observables to features of underlying scattering amplitudes and to possible beyond-the-Standard-Model (BSM) dynamics, through analytical and computational research in quantum field theory and collider phenomenology. This position will provide the opportunity to contribute to frontier research at the interface of particle theory, quantum information, and collider physics. Travel is not relevant for this summer research position. Education and Experience Requirements The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States. Applicants must be: Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution. Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
