About The Position

Fulton Schools of Engineering (FSE) Research Operations team within the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence (SCAI). Research Advancement Administrators are part of a collaborative team directly supporting researchers making impactful advances in research globally. This is a mid-career track position (Level 2 of 6) requiring prior experience in business administration, project management, or sponsored research. Requirements

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

Develops budgets and budget narratives in conjunction with investigator provided information and sponsor guidelines.
Creates budgets using accepted university systems and tools, and sponsor budget formats
Budgets cost share and obtains appropriate approvals.
Completes additional sponsor required forms, checking for compliance (current and pending support, biosketches) according to university policies and guidelines
Assists sub-recipients with questions related to completing sub-recipient forms
Manages post submission action items requested by the sponsor such as just-in-time requests, revised budgets, scope of work changes, and additional certifications
Independently reviews funding announcements and provides guidance on eligibility and sponsor requirements to investigators
Independently reviews proposals against guidelines for compliance before sending to the Office of Research and Sponsored Project Administration
Provides guidance and counsel during development, pre-submission review which includes document management.
Uploads grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies to verify and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements
