The School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) Research Advancement (RA) Team is looking for a Pre-Award Research Advancement Administrator. Research Advancement Administrators are part of a collaborative team directly supporting researchers making impactful advances in research globally. You will need a strong attention to detail, customer service skills, enjoy problem solving, and be looking to grow your career in an area with many growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Budget Management Develops budgets and budget narratives in conjunction with investigator provided information and sponsor guidelines.
  • Creates budgets using accepted university systems and tools, and sponsor budget formats
  • Budgets cost share and obtains appropriate approvals.
  • Compliance Management Completes additional sponsor required forms, checking for compliance (current and pending support, biosketches) according to university policies and guidelines
  • Assists sub-recipients with questions related to completing sub-recipient forms
  • Manages post submission action items requested by the sponsor such as just-in-time requests, revised budgets, scope of work changes, and additional certifications
  • Administrative Independently reviews funding announcements and provides guidance on eligibility and sponsor requirements to investigators
  • Independently reviews proposals against guidelines for compliance before sending to the Office of Research and Sponsored Project Administration
  • Provides guidance and counsel during development, pre-submission review which includes document management.
  • Uploads grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies to verify and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements
