The Literacy Coach/District Resource Teacher plays a critical role in advancing early literacy outcomes through the HCPS Transforming Early Literacy Initiative (TELI). This position focuses on building teacher capacity and strengthening instructional practices across PreK–2 literacy classrooms through job-embedded coaching, modeling, and professional learning. The ideal candidate will support educators in delivering high-quality, science of reading–aligned instruction, with an emphasis on foundational skills, data-driven decision-making, and consistent, standards-aligned practices. This position is designed to create lasting impact by developing internal expertise, increasing instructional coherence across grade levels, and driving measurable gains in early literacy, particularly in schools serving historically underserved student populations.
