About The Position

Serves as liaison between functional business areas (Clinical, Administrative, Finance, Technology, etc.) and a technical or non-technical project team. Interviews end users and stakeholders to determine and manage requirements for a project, program or initiative and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, and partners. Leads complex requirement elicitation sessions, mentor, and train other requirements analysts or analysts within the role.

Requirements

  • Two+ years of experience in eliciting and documenting technical/non-technical requirements and business analysis experience
  • Two+ years of experience using analytical, process mapping, testing and other tools/systems for business analysis purposes
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
  • Proven strong oral presentation, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Proven organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines
  • Technical ability to understand complex systems
  • Flexibility to manage multiple initiatives and shift priorities based on business needs
  • Ability to perform job duties independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven Business Analysis skillsets such as: stake holder analysis, business case development, eliciting/organizing, and managing business and technical requirements, process and workflow design, requirement validation
  • An understanding of current project management methodologies
  • Ability to utilize analytical tools, surveys, verbal feedback, focus groups, and other communication measurement tools

  • Degree preferred from accredited senior college

Responsibilities

  • Performs business analysis
  • Serves as liaison between functional business area and project team.
  • Interviews end users/stakeholders to determine requirements.
  • Utilizes a variety of elicitation methods including: interviews, JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions, surveys, brainstorming sessions, storyboarding, prototyping/wire framing, and use cases.
  • Requirement documentation
  • Clearly states what the system will/should do, with no vagueness and ambiguity.
  • Creates clear, concise definition and requirements documentation
  • Models the essential business workflow and the data or technology needed to support those workflows utilizing: use cases, flow charts, activity diagrams, swim lanes, etc.
  • Addresses details such as: functional requirements, interface requirements, performance requirements, and design constraints/limitations.
  • Structures documentation using an accepted format ​
  • Requirement management and validation
  • Leads the prioritization of requirements to help manage overall project scope
  • Manage requirement change throughout design/build
  • Develop necessary validation plan and scripts
  • Validate solution/build against requirements for completion
