About The Position

Coordinates the identification, collection, assessment, and reporting of relevant data as required to support college-wide needs for program information, assessment and accountability; uses information technology, such as R-Shiny and SAS, to compile, interpret, summarize data, and develop reports to support the strategic decision-making of senior administrators in the College of Nursing (CON); supports the broad research, teaching, clinical and administrative missions of the college by utilizing a range of technical skills including cleaning, manipulation and analysis of large data sets; presents results to team members and other audiences; designs data collection instruments including questionnaires and clinical data collection forms; creates visualizations and reporting tools for the college community and its stakeholders; establishes processes to report data; designs relational databases and query mechanisms for ad hoc and routine report writing; develops and maintains custom software tools and applications that support data workflows, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency across the college. The individual collaborates with CON IT partners to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver data solutions to meet evolving organizational needs. This role will report to the Finance Director of the College of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, MIS, Statistics, Business, Economics) or equivalent combination of education/experience and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience performing data analysis and creating insights using large data sets
  • Ability to interpret data and present information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to interpret data needs from leaders and present options to decision-makers
  • Experience in computer applications including proficiency in relational databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software
  • At least 3 years of experience in data visualization
  • Experience and knowledge of data querying tools such as R, SAS, and Tableau
  • Experience managing databases, queries, and reports for a complex organization
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and adjust project priorities as needed
  • Ability to work independently and to be an effective team member
