About The Position

Join the world's largest HVAC company, named by Forbes as one of America's Best-In-State Employers 2025! We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role is a critical part of our corporate reporting function and will work closely with business units across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, as well as our sales and service locations throughout North America. The Financial Reporting Analyst will lead Daikin's financial reporting and consolidation efforts, with a focus on improving manual processes and increasing efficiency. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, sharp attention to detail, and a proactive approach to analyzing financial data. You’ll collaborate closely with external auditors and act as a key liaison with international finance teams, investigating variances and delivering clear, executive-level reporting and insights. Location: Plymouth, MN Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of combined experience in financial reporting and accounting
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
  • Direct experience with Hyperion (or similar) and other large ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills with proven success at manipulating and analyze large data sets
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA
  • 4+ years of experience in financial reporting
  • Experience in public accounting or audit support
  • Prior experience supporting multi-entity consolidations in a complex manufacturing or industrial environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports across multiple entities using Hyperion and Oracle-based systems.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide concise executive summaries.
  • Ensure financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP and, ideally, IFRS.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams across North America (U.S., Mexico, Canada) and support sales/service locations nationwide on financial reporting and data needs.
  • Partner with external auditors and international corporate teams to address reporting inquiries and documentation.
  • Continuously review and improve manual reporting processes, identifying opportunities for greater accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support monthly close and consolidation activities, including data validation and reporting uploads into Hyperion.
  • Maintain and support accurate chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, and consolidation structures.
  • Assist in financial policy compliance and internal controls related to financial reporting.

  • The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400- $132,800 + 10% annual variable bonus in Minnesota.
