About The Position

The company specializes in forensic consulting, dispute resolution, construction management services, and solutions built for the environment, also helping develop better products and processes for the consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries. The Report Coordinator position is a remote role located in the Pacific time zone, joining the national Central Processing Center team. This team supports company technical staff by proofreading and reviewing technical reports and documents. The principal duties involve report review, editing, formatting, and distribution to clients. The role supports a diverse group of internal consultants and external clients, requiring minimal supervision and exercising initiative and independent judgment. Adequate work-at-home space with minimal interruptions is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with some college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Word document review, proofreading, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to understand departmental operations and procedures.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent business writing, editing, and proofreading skills; work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Advanced English language, grammar, and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
  • High attention to detail and focus.
  • Comfortable doing repetitive work.
  • Ability to respond to written or verbal matter-specific and general inquiries from management, peers, clients, consultants, and external vendors.

  • Experience with insurance, construction, and/or legal documents and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Proofreads multiple types of engineering, architectural, fire, and other technical reports and documents to ensure quality, formatting, and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Reviews reports for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and readability. Suggests and tracks all edits and recommendations.
  • Adjusts settings for format, line spacing, and other style requirements as required in accordance with organization operations manual and department manual standards with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Transmits reports to clients through email or client-based portals, including invoices, when required by client.
  • Enters electronic notes in internal organization database, memorializing various key milestones, and stores final documents in respective matter folder.
  • Communicates with engineers, architects, fire, other technical staff, and administrative staff across the organization.
