Objective: Ensure pick pallets and flow racks are ready and available for all pickers. Keep all aisles clear and free of obstructions. Responsibilities/Expectations SAFETY FIRST ALWAYS IN EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO. Always face the direction of travel. Slow down and sound horn at all intersections and blind corners. Ensure a safe distance between you and any other employee, minimum 3 pallet spaces, before lowering any pallet. Inspect all pallets before lowering for any issues. Notify management if any issues are observed- cracked pallet, pallet not properly wrapped, etc. Report to work on time as scheduled. Fill out your inspection form and perform a thorough pre-trip inspection on pallet jack/forklift. Must be pallet jack certified. Must be forklift certified. Only move one pallet at a time. Ensure that you are using the proper forks (lengths) for the pallet that you are moving. Overtime is required when shorthanded or key holiday periods. Must be clean shaven and have proper hygiene. Must wear steel-toed shoes. Must wear seatbelt on forklift always. After 90 days must wear company issued uniforms. Replenish pick lines including flow racks. Properly tag pallets with case quantity before storing in the back-stock racks. Input moves properly in the Encompass warehouse management system. Strip plastic from all pick pallets lowered by operator. Stack pallets in like size and type stacks and put away in the dunnage room at end of shift. Wrap and tag carts with shift damages and make moves to WH breakage in WMS. Load route trucks when needed including Tallahassee transport trucks. Display a good attitude always. Take care of company equipment always – safety first. Always pull product by the oldest date out of back stock. Proactively look for opportunities to help the pickers become more efficient.
