About The Position

Cottonwood is seeking a skilled and dependable Repair Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and excellent customer service. Requirements

Minimum of four (4) years of mechanical repair experience or completion of a certified mechanical trade program
Ability to obtain equipment manufacturer certifications (training may be provided)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete them efficiently
Capability to analyze operational data and recommend performance improvements
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to meet MVR requirements

Nice To Haves

Previous certifications are preferred but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and inventory systems is a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum of 80% productivity with billable hours
Travel to customer sites to perform equipment repairs as assigned by the supervisor
Accurately diagnose issues, complete repairs, and determine appropriate parts for replacement
Manage daily service calls with proper documentation for accurate billing and reporting
Track and record parts usage to support inventory control and billing accuracy
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper operation of the assigned service vehicle
Identify and communicate potential sales leads to the sales team
Stay up to date on new and existing equipment used at customer locations
Ensure the Cottonwood Distribution repair shop remains safe, clean, and organized
Participate in company meetings, including team meetings, one-on-ones, and safety briefings
Follow all safety protocols in both shop and field environments
Deliver exceptional customer service during all service interactions
Assist with training new technicians and implementing improved repair practices
Perform additional duties as assigned
