About The Position

Kurt J. Lesker Company (KJLC) is seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll evaluate, repair, and test mechanical vacuum pumps and related devices, ensuring each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will help deliver reliable repair services and exceptional customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and follow product schematics and election part descriptions
  • Intermediate technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to obtain a forklift certification and safely operate the forklift
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet applications
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs unassisted
  • Fluent in English (reading and writing)

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years technical troubleshooting and repair service

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, repair, and test vacuum pumps and related devices
  • Read and interpret part numbers, schematics, and measuring tools
  • Operate machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Follow work instructions and use ERP system for service processing
  • Maintain safety standards and comply with company policies
  • Manage inventory and perform scheduled equipment maintenance
  • Safely operate a forklift (certification required or obtainable)
  • Participate in continuous improvement through the 6S Program
  • Collaborate across departments and build strong working relationships
  • Interface with other areas and personnel to support service center tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
