Requirements

  • High School Graduate, Associates Degree Preferred
  • 1-2 years of prior relevant experience –Retail experience a plus.
  • Significant experience working with various operating systems, Microsoft products (MS Office), device drivers, diagnostic utilities, and Internet browsers.
  • MUST be an effective communicator.
  • A proven ability to perform as a positive team player.
  • A strong mechanical and solution-driven inclination.
  • Able to read and correctly follow procedural documentation (configuration, testing).
  • Basic ability to complete data entry via various internal databases.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and successfully completing them in a timely manner.
  • Able to regularly work independently; ability to appropriately prioritize daily activities is required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment with assistance as needed; some physical maneuvering necessary during equipment handling, installation or repair.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and driving them to completion with a high degree of success.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of desktop computers, basic networks, servers, scanners, and output devices a plus.
  • Industry-standard A+ and/or Network+ certifications a plus.
  • Two-year technical or collegiate-level degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Working knowledge of databases, including data entry, retrieval, and data utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Routine, repetitive tasks such as Cleaning, Testing, and Repairing failed equipment; including but not limited to desktops, printers, point-of-sale equipment, scanning devices, and weighing systems.
  • Process warranty using various RMA processes.
  • Test documentation that will be sent to the field.
  • Use of work tracking Database.
  • Work with peers and diverse knowledge teams to accomplish common goals.
  • Frequently work with operating systems, production applications, LANs, software, hardware, and retail systems.
  • Test and Certify field maintenance documentation in support of field-level repairs.
  • Develop close vendor relationships to maximize and simplify repair, support, and refresh opportunities.
  • Work with peers and diverse knowledge teams to accomplish common goals.
  • Configure hardware for delivery to stores.
  • Provide assistance and support for field staff.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Validate accuracy of shipments.
