Repair & Maintenance Technician
About The Position
As an R&M Technician, you'll perform hands-on inspection, repair, and maintenance of field tools in Weatherford's facilities. You'll work with specialized equipment and systems to prepare tools for their next assignment, following technical manuals and work instructions. Requirements
- Basic mathematics and computer skills
- Ability to work with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, and explosives
- Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities
- Strong time management and quality control analysis skills
- Physical capability to perform required maintenance tasks
- Effective operation of tools and machinery
- Ability to read technical documentation and follow procedures
- High School Diploma
- 2-4+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
- Basic computer proficiency
Nice To Haves
- Experience with NDT, NDE, and ATEX principles
- Equipment troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Certifications for operating lifting equipment, forklifts, and cranes
- Experience with maintenance management systems
Responsibilities
- Maintain highest standards of safety, security, and compliance with company policies
- Inspect, repair, and refurbish field tools through the entire maintenance process
- Use precision measuring instruments and testing devices to assess equipment condition
- Complete required documentation, work orders, and quality control processes
- Safely operate lifting equipment, forklifts, and cranes for material handling
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments with accurate documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and LEAN programs
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
