About The Position

The Rental Shop Supervisor assists the Guest Service Manager in overseeing rental shop operations during both the winter ski and snowboard season and the summer downhill mountain bike park season. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring equipment safety, and managing seasonal transitions. This position requires a strong understanding of both winter sports and mountain biking equipment and is available during peak seasons, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a rental shop or equipment management, with bike shop experience preferred.
• Knowledge of both winter sports and mountain biking equipment, with a focus on safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and rental management software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, emphasizing guest service and staff development.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced seasonal environment.
• Must become a certified rental technician and maintain equipment safety certifications.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate evening, weekend, and holiday shifts during peak seasons.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer candidates with ski shop experience and strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, binding function, and winter gear management.
• Prefer candidates with bike shop experience and knowledge of mountain bike maintenance and repair.
