Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One (1) year or more sales experience required
  • DOT Regulated No

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound sales calls and drive outbound solicitation to grow the customer base
  • Execute the business unit’s marketing plan and maintain accurate marketing database records
  • Maximize rate opportunities within the marketplace
  • Generate leads for rental, lease, and used vehicle sales
  • Maintain and expand relationships with the existing customer base
  • Coordinate inventory levels to meet customer demand and maximize operational effectiveness
  • Drive overall Ryder market share through successful execution of sales and marketing initiatives
  • Oversee the profitability, operations, and asset management of a rental location
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory requirements
  • Leverage a complete understanding of marketplace conditions to maximize rental fleet utilization
  • Drive profitable revenue growth by maintaining and deepening customer relationships
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Resolve customer concerns, issues, and disputes to protect and grow the ongoing relationship
  • Build constructive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain composure and professionalism when navigating challenging situations
  • Clearly articulate Ryder’s product and service offerings to customers at all levels
  • On a voluntary basis as well as based on scheduling, the Rental Sales Representative will be required to perform the role of On-Call Representative based on work schedules as determined by Supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
