About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer, is hiring a Rental Manager in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Rental Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the rental store/stores to ensure a safe, efficient and profitable operation, supporting the rental store/stores and corporate objectives by performing duties personally or through subordinate Team Members.

Requirements

Minimum of three years’ management experience in a service related industry
Minimum of two years supervisory experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent sales skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Must be able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Must be able to function well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
Must have an excellent driving record
Must be able travel frequently – overnight and out of town
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Rental Equipment Industry preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred
