About The Position

The Rental & Events Coordinator is a role for someone who enjoys bringing people together, thriving in fast-paced environments, being a go-to person, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the Pine Township (Township) community. The Township's Community Center is seeking an energetic, organized, and community-focused Rental & Events Coordinator to lead facility rentals and support events across our Parks & Recreation system - including the Pine Community Center, Splash Pad, Turf Fields, Park Pavilions, and Amphitheater. This role serves as the primary contact for rentals, ensuring seamless and accurate scheduling, event planning, marketing, and day-of coordination while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Parks & Recreation, Event Management, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Two (2) years of related experience preferred (i.e. community recreation)
  • Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) or willingness to obtain within 1 (one) year of hire or job transfer.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Requires standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all facility rentals from inquiry to event completion
  • Oversee and ensures accuracy of event logistics, scheduling, and financial tracking
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote rentals, programs, and community events
  • Provide supervisory leadership for Splash Pad seasonal staff
  • Support sponsorship development
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for the Parks & Recreation Department
