Responsible for handling rental calls and coordinating equipment rentals according to specific guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two (2) years of heavy construction equipment experience or comparable experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
  • Answers telephone and in-person requests for equipment rentals using high-level customer service skills
  • Initiates rental contracts and completes all associated paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner, ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed to the customer according to company policies and procedures
  • Schedules equipment deliveries, training, and the pickup of rental equipment through company drivers or outside contract transport services
  • Ensures equipment is properly serviced and prepared for rental by effectively working with the Service department
  • Monitors repairs and ensures all paperwork is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Monitors and tracks rental equipment inventory
  • Prepares reports as needed
  • Makes suggestions or recommendations to the Sr. Rental Coordinator; brings observed problems or issues to the attention of the Sr. Rental Coordinator and presents suggestions and solutions to resolve the problem, if possible
  • Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
