About The Position

Under the direction of the Rental Operations Manager, the Rental Coordinator is responsible for all rental contract management and administrative activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, at least 2-year degree preferred
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull and /or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred - generator knowledge, including switchgear, transfer switch, air compressors, or temperature control
  • Experience in equipment rental industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of Carolina Cat’s power systems rental fleet & rental applications
  • Perform all required process steps to accurately and efficiently process all rental transactions
  • Coordinate logistics for each rental
  • Document all details related to each rental in the respective rental folder
  • Obtain and maintain certificates of insurance for all customers renting equipment as well as from vendors who transport the equipment
  • Issue purchase orders when needed
  • Create and process work orders as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
