About The Position

H.O. Penn Machinery NOW HIRING Project Coordinator – Power Systems  Medford, NY Pay: $26-$33/hour (dependent on experience) Bonus: 5% bonus potential Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance 401(k) with company match Holidays & competitive PTO Company laptop & cell phone Key qualifications: 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, power systems, industrial equipment, or related technical environment Experience supporting Project Managers in multi-phase, deadline-driven projects Familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, generators, or power systems projects a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and ability to learn other proprietary systems Strong organizational skills with ability to support multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously Attention to detail in reviewing invoices, change orders, and vendor documentation Responsibilities:  On time, accurate PM lead projects delivered within budget Assist with the preparation of submittals for approval  Assist with the preparation of O&M manuals for project closeout Assist PMs with follow up on vendor related deliverables Assist PMs in coordination with service depts. for technicians and PSSR availability On time, accurate delivery of vendor related products Accurately and efficiently oversee the coordination, procurement, and delivery of product to ensure project success Assure cost control of the assigned project to maximize profit, including timely closeout Coordinate with vendor and/or service department for any service related activities Effective operational support of department  Attend meetings, take minutes, and share with appropriate parties Evaluate project status, then prepare and share detailed reports with stakeholders Prepare general documentation for submittals, closeout, and all other PM dept needs  Coordinate with support departments for items to include accounting or insurance documents among others Qualifications 2+ years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, power systems, industrial equipment, or related technical environment Experience supporting Project Managers in multi-phase, deadline-driven projects Familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, generators, or power systems projects a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and ability to learn other proprietary systems Strong organizational skills with ability to support multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously Attention to detail in reviewing invoices, change orders, and vendor documentation Physical Requirements: Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time Hand coordination (typing and writing) Occasional forward bending and reaching Occasional walking and climbing stairs Carrying (up to 20lbs.) Requirements
