In this role, you will lead strategic and operational trade compliance activities, ensuring full adherence to global import and export laws across various regions including the US, Canada, and Europe. You will be critical in implementing compliance programs and driving improvements to mitigate tariffs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 6+ years of experience in customs or export controls.
  • Proficient knowledge of U.S. export regulations including EAR, Census, and OFAC sanctions.
  • Advanced expertise in U.S. customs regulations including customs valuation and import compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian and EU trade regulations.
  • Experience in implementing tariff mitigation strategies and cost-reduction programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day trade compliance operations to ensure compliant, efficient, and timely cross-border movement of goods.
  • Develop, implement, and improve trade compliance programs, policies, and internal controls for U.S., Canada, and Europe.
  • Lead tariff mitigation strategies including duty drawback and free trade agreement qualifications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, and Logistics to provide expertise on trade compliance.
  • Proactively identify and execute process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency and minimize risks.
