Scope of Practice (examples) Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine Psychiatry/Behavioral Health (adult/child) Endocrinology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology Women's Health/OB-GYN, Men's Health, Urology Dermatology, Allergy/Immunology, Rheumatology Neurology, Pain, PM&R, Sleep Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Palliative Care Urgent/On-Demand Care and After-Hours Coverage Day-to-Day Conduct synchronous video/phone visits and asynchronous reviews. Take focused histories, perform telehealth-appropriate exams, and order/interpret diagnostics. Create clear, patient-specific care plans; prescribe in accordance with state/federal rules. Coordinate referrals, collaborate with APPs and specialists, and close the loop on results. Document in the client EHR/telehealth platform with timely, accurate notes. Practice in accordance with current guidelines; follow state scope, payer policies, and HIPAA. Whats Required MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. license in at least one state; multi-state licensure and/or IMLC eligibility strongly preferred. Board certified (or board eligible within acceptable window) in relevant specialty. DEA (and state CSR where required) for prescribing; X-waiver no longer needed, but MOUD experience is a plus where applicable. Minimum 1 year post-residency clinical experience (telemedicine experience preferred). Comfort with EHRs, ePrescribing, eLabs, and remote workflows. Reliable high-speed internet, private workspace, and professional on-camera presence. Nice to Have Multiple active state licenses. Experience in value-based care, RPM/CCM, behavioral health integration, or virtual urgent care. Bilingual proficiency. Prior work with payer policies, documentation optimization, and clinical quality metrics. Schedule & Coverage Flexible shifts (days/evenings/weekends) Options for scheduled clinics, on-demand queues, and shared call (client-dependent). Compensation & Structure Most clients provide malpractice coverage (claims-made with tail or occurrence varies). Compliance & Standards Adhere to HIPAA, state telehealth statutes, Ryan Haight/tele-prescribing rules, and client protocols.
