Overview Deriva Energy, a portfolio company of Brookfield Renewable U.S., who is a nationwide leader in sustainable energy provides wind, solar, resilient backup power, and managed energy services across the U.S., with a total electric capacity of more than 6,000 megawatts of nonregulated renewable energy is seeking a Remote Operations Center Generation Operator to be based in Charlotte, N.C. Position Summary Job duties include maintaining daily logs of system events, providing immediate verbal notifications of unusual activities to the appropriate personnel, preparing daily power nominations and reports. Overseeing the safe and reliable operations of wind, solar farm and battery assets. Monitoring real-time power output, performance, and energy yield of each generating facility. Responsible for maintaining availability levels at each renewable energy site as well as following curtailment directives from entities (e.g. Reliability Coordinator, Transmission Operator, Power Marketer etc.). Under limited supervision, schedules and coordinates the load levels of power plant generation to maintain system integrity. Perform a variety of administrative duties, as well as being responsible for EH&S and other relevant compliance requirements. The candidate must maintain effective communication with wind and solar entities, ROC QSE, power off takers, and OEM wind providers.
