Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent.
Subject matter expert in insurance principles and laws.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional negotiation abilities and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims, managing them to timely resolutions.
Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority.
Calculate reserves and manage their adequacy throughout the life of claims.
Ensure timely claim payments and prepare necessary state filings.
Manage the litigation process for claims resolution.
Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation management.
Implement cost containment strategies to minimize claims costs.
Oversee claim recoveries and report claims to the excess carrier.
