In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming healthcare environments by converting complex 2D floor plans and architectural blueprints into a proprietary digital map format. Collaborating with our software engineering team, you will ensure the highest quality of digital maps, contributing to cutting-edge technology designed to improve indoor navigation and wayfinding in health systems across the U.S. A strong background in technical drafting will be essential for delivering accurate and aesthetically pleasing digital maps. Requirements

  • 7-10 years of professional experience in a technical drafting or mapping role.
  • Expert-level proficiency with digital drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 2D/3D drafting programs).
  • Exceptional spatial reasoning and the ability to visualize complex plans in 3D.
  • A meticulous eye for detail to identify inaccuracies or missing data.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable using modern technology including mobile apps and tablets.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex 2D floor plans and architectural blueprints into our proprietary digital map format using CAD-based tools.
  • Inventory and analyze client-supplied floor plans to identify missing areas, buildings, floors, and cross-building connections.
  • Digitize key spatial features (walls, doors, rooms) and assign data attributes to enable 3D rendering and indoor navigation.
  • Interpret and apply 'as-built' markups, red-lines, and furniture layouts.
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) to ensure all digital maps meet high standards for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to provide feedback on map features and suggest improvements for our internal CAD tools.
  • Participate in remote prep and recap sessions for client-site visits.
