About The Position

We are seeking a self-motivated environmental remediation Project Manager to join our successful team of professionals in Burns & McDonnell's World Headquarters Office located in Kansas City, Missouri. The Remediation Project Manager will lead project teams serving a portfolio of well-established clients and projects in the public and private market sectors. Leadership responsibilities will include project management, technical leadership, and client relationship development and maintenance. This position provides the opportunity to exercise your entrepreneurial spirit and challenge and grow yourself professionally within one of the industry's leading firms. Be on the cutting edge of the environmental industry, using new technologies and approaches to solve our clients' most interesting and challenging problems. The successful candidate should possess a diverse investigation and remediation technical background, project/program management skills, and significant remediation investigation, consulting, and execution experience. Experience in the successful development and execution of investigation, remediation, and site management strategies within CERCLA, RCRA and state regulatory programs is a plus. Existing client relationships are also a plus. Travel is required and professional registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing scopes of work, cost estimates and proposals and may develop and evaluate plans for major projects.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members and coordinate departmental project studies, reports or project design assignments.
  • Project implementation, QA/QC, project scheduling and budget management.
  • Some marketing responsibilities will be required and regular meeting and correspondence with clients, agencies, subcontractors or outside personnel will be required.
  • Lead preparation of work plans, investigation reports, feasibility studies, remedial design and implementation for CERCLA, RCRA, and other state-led programs.
  • Manage technical aspects of investigation and remediation projects.
  • Manage individual projects and supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams. Projects may range from multi-million-dollar remediation programs to smaller projects
