Your Opportunity As a Relocation/Acquisition Agent, you will possess an excellent working knowledge of all right of way activities that pertain to business and residential displacements.

Requirements

  • Understanding real estate transactions.
  • Understanding of right of way laws and process.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation's requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret land survey documents and right of way maps.
  • Familiarity with the provisions of the Federal Uniform Act as it applies to the acquisition of property.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Real estate license preferred.
  • Strong people skills and negotiation abilities are required.
  • Position will primarily work in a virtual office setting; will require some field work.
  • Initial assignment will be in Montgomery County, MD with potential for work in the Fairfax County VA area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide DSS Inspections as requested.
  • Negotiate with claimants as requested.
  • Perform settlement duties with claimants as needed.
